Getting diagnosed with a chronic disease is a confusing moment in life not only for you, but also for those close to you. Stay here, learn, connect, and be encouraged. You are not alone.
Question: I'm only 25, but I find it so hard to motivate myself to agree to meet up. I am always finding excuses to give and convincing myself it will be better for me and them if I don't go, even though socialising makes me feels amazing for days after. I want to break this cycle, but I don't know how.
Answer: Find when is best for you to get together. For me I feel better in the morning and prefer quiet places. I try to schedule lunch meet ups in a spot that I am comfortable in. If I need to cancel, I apologize and try to reschedule before it feels too late.
